A warm welcome

Hello and welcome to Turning Point Leeds, a non-school alternative provision rooted in relationships and belonging.
I’m Ryan Bradshaw, and I’m proud to introduce you to our community.

At Turning Point Leeds, our vision is to build a safe, supportive and restorative environment where every young person is seen, heard and valued. We believe learning should be flexible and inclusive, shaped around each pupil’s story, strengths and needs. Our approach is relational at its core, we focus on trust, respect and repairing relationships so that every young person has the best chance to flourish.

We work closely with families, schools and local services, recognising that education is a partnership. Our role is to walk alongside young people who may be at risk of suspension or exclusion, who feel disengaged from learning, or who are struggling with change.

Through tailored pathways and reintegration plans, we support pupils in building confidence, resilience and readiness to succeed back in their host schools and beyond.

Our commitment to schools across Leeds, is to make a lasting difference. We are here to nurture potential, celebrate progress, and help every pupil take positive steps forward in their education and life.

At Turning Point Leeds, relationships come first, and from there, growth follows.

Warm regards,
Ryan Bradshaw
Director, Turning Point Leeds

Our Values

Empowerment
We empower our pupils by giving them the tools, confidence, and support they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Through personalised learning plans and 1-1 mentoring, each pupil is encouraged to discover their strengths and build on them.

Inclusivity
We are committed to creating an environment where every pupil feels valued, respected, and supported. Our programmes are designed to meet a wide range of needs, ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to thrive.

Community
We believe in the power of community and the importance of strong, positive relationships between pupils, staff, and families. From our daily breakfast catch-ups to collaborative activities, we foster a culture of belonging, mutual respect, and care.

Holistic Development
Education goes beyond academics. We focus on personal, social, and emotional growth, supporting pupils to develop as well-rounded individuals. Our facilities, including sports areas, a kitchen for culinary skills, and outdoor spaces, enable a wide range of activities that nurture confidence, resilience, and independence.

High Standards
We set and maintain high expectations for every pupil. By mirroring the standards and expectations of their host schools, we ensure pupils are fully prepared for a successful reintegration into mainstream education and beyond.
